Calling all Strawberry Fields E-Pats!! We are planning a Strawberry Fields Reunion!!!
Over the years of running Sonrise Beach Retreat on the famous Strawberry Fields spot, I have had the privilege of meeting many of you coming back to Strawberry Fields. Remembering is fun, and I would like you to help spread the word!!

A date to be announced sometime in 2008 we are planning a reunion and concert! Help me use this time to get as many people interested to help participate.
I have just celebrated my 20 year anniversary of moving to Jamaica! Jared my son was 6 and Melody 3. They are now both married to Jamaicans and have 3 year old children, so they almost born and grow here! 
We first came to Jamaica in 1979, looking for a get away out of the Pittsburgh cold, asking a travel agent where could we camp anywhere in the Caribbean or Mexico, and guess where he recommended. A place called Strawberry Fields in Jamaica! We were dropped off a big country bus and told “Strawberry Fields” was just downso! Downso
Was a 4.2 mile hike with 2 big suitcases and a back pack! I remember hobbling in to an old wooden gate, with three Rastas (who I had never seen before) hanging on the gate with dreadlocks sticking straight out and eyes blood red,, holding big bags of Ganga, greeting us by saying,” 5 dollars, mon!” It sure has been an adventure living here, maybe someday I will write the book, right now all I have is the title, “Going through Hell to get to Paradise!
